This is Camellia Grace Bunton - flowering sporadically and beautifully through January. this photo was taken a couple of years ago; this year we are still waiting for it to come out in its full beauty.
Turning to other parts of the Wood here and now: this week7th Jan, weather has been mild but very cold wit frost at night. There follows this week's FINDS.
snowdrops in the shrub bed on the Long Walk; just a little further is a beautiful pussy willow bought in 2021 locally - Mount Aso on always has to be patient for plants to grow to a good size, so careful detailed examination is necessary at this stage. further still we see the graceful catkins of the Cobb nuts
